Children being afraid to go to the dentist is a common situation. Unfortunately, this fear can sometimes be unwittingly reinforced by parents who also suffer from dentophobia or anxiety.
All of this can lead to an endless cycle… In this video, the two doctors are talking about the children’s fear of dentists and about how to avoid it by working on the perception of the dentist by children but also by parents.

Dr. Łykowska-Tarnowska is a dentist who nowadays practices psychology and psychotherapy. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Medical Academy in Łódź in 1994. In 2005, she graduated from clinical psychology at the SWPS University in Warsaw. She also has several years of experience working in clinical trials in the field of psychiatry and genetics abroad. Dr Łykowska-Tarnowska is also a lecturer at the Medical University of Łódź. Currently and is associated with the “Blue Line” Association. She runs a private psychotherapeutic practice and uses medical and psychological knowledge, in her daily work. | Dr Pacyk is a dentist and a university teacher. She graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź in 1993. For over twenty years, she has been giving lectures and training for doctors. In 2005, she defended her doctoral dissertation with honors. She is also a lecturer at the Medical University of Łódź and was honored by students with the title of the best academic teacher of 2015-2016. She runs a private dental practice and is, among others, a member of PTS and the International College of Dentists. Dr Pacyk is also the author of many articles in the field of adhesive filling materials and bonding systems. |
